Adrian Public Schools Welcomes New Kindergarteners for Fall 2012

April 4, 2012 –  Adrian Public Schools is Proud to Announce Kindergarten Registration Nights for the Class of 2025!  Parents of children who will be 5-years of age by December 1, 2012 are invited to visit our buildings for Maple Registration Nights.  Each APS elementary school will host a separate evening from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. for parents and incoming Kindergarten students to meet teachers, visit classrooms, take a bus ride, experience art & music, enjoy a family scavenger hunt and begin a 13-year conversation about your child’s education.  Dinner will be provided to parents and students in attendance. 

The individual school Maple Nights are scheduled as follows:

·         Thursday, April 12^th at Michener Elementary School

·         Tuesday, April 17^th at Lincoln Elementary School

·         Thursday, April 19^th at Prairie Elementary School

·         Tuesday, April 24^th at Alexander Elementary School

A special thank you to Coach Leo Lauver and the Boys Track team for volunteering all day on Saturday in a cleanup effort for Dexter tornado victims. 

AMS 7/8 Parent Night!! Tuesday, February 28th, at 6:30. A teacher representing each core subject area will be in attendance to discuss end of semester projects and exams, strategies and incentives for helping your child at home, our new online homework page and MUCH MORE! You will also receive your child's latest NWEA math and reading results.

Project Lead The Way class has been very busy.  7^th graders have been researching engineer careers to create a short movie on “How Engineers have Affected Our Communities.”  We learned how to edit, download pictures, and music as well as put in special effects and transitions into our projects.  Students were able to download these movies on their flash drives and take them home or upload them to another source.   Watch out film industry, here we come!
